Full Job Description

We are seeking a Stores Lead to take primary responsibility for all warehousing operations supporting our Norwich base. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Stores Lead will oversee the Norwich warehouse, managing tasks such as part storage and distribution, Goods In/Out, core and rotable returns, and the maintenance, calibration and supply of tooling for our engineering workforce. The role requires adherence to CAA regulations and CAP 562 standards. The Stores Lead will conduct themselves in a professional manner responding to the needs of the business and group requirements in an effective and efficient manner. The Stores Lead will be proficient in warehousing, part accountability, stock rotation and remain committed in their approach to work, prioritising the needs of Bond Helicopters as a primary focus whilst working with Supply Chain colleagues across the Group.   • Ensuring the correct storage and distribution of all components, parts, materials and tools in-line with OEM recommendations and airworthiness regulations
  • Deliver the effect management of all warehouse tasks inclusive of shelf life, stock rotation, calibration
  • Ensure daily, weekly and monthly checks are carried out iaw airworthiness regulations
  • Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean, tidy and as efficient as possible
  • Ensuring all goods in processing is conducted in accordance with aircraft regulations
  • Deliver the physical selection of, and completion of stock / tooling issues to Engineering
  • Act as the focal point for all Dangerous Goods movement in Norwich
  • Ensuring all Dangerous Goods (DG) to and from vendors / outstations are iaw with these regulations
  • Ensuring the prompt management of all core returns from the maintenance hangar
  • Processing all rotables through the supply chain to the appropriate vendors avoiding penalty clauses
  • Ensure the auditable and quality processes are meet
  • Forward Planning:
  • Ensure planning and coordination with engineering for upcoming aircraft checks and communicating with engineers daily to ensure they are fully updated on their incoming parts requirements
  • Support is provided for aircraft maintenance checks undertaken at other Group bases
  • Goods In Processing:
  • Completion of stock receipts and goods in processing in accordance aircraft regulations
  • Ensuring parts are received in the correct condition and regulatory paperwork requirements are met
  • Ensure correct storage and distribution of all components, parts, materials.
  • Picking and Packing:
  • The physical selection of parts to meet the needs of the engineering workforce
  • The recording of all part transactions using the companies MRP system
  • Maintaining auditable processes
  • Hands on approach to counter service, tool control and part issue
  • The delivery of parts as and when required and as directed by the Supply Chain and Engineering
  • Dispatch:
  • Consignment of Dangerous Goods (once qualified) to and from vendors / outstations.
  • The shipment of parts and paperwork to vendors and customers
  • The recording of all dispatches to their retrospective locations
  • Checks and Stock Counting:
  • Conduct Daily, Weekly and Monthly checks as requested / required

    Experience of stores / warehouse within an aviation environment
  • Sound understanding of good warehousing practice as well as experience in its implementation
  • Knowledge of aviation part / airworthiness paperwork
  • Willingness to complete or already have an in date Dangerous Goods qualification
  • Driving license is a necessity and a willingness to use or already have a forklift license
  • Ability to work unaided and without guidance
  • Team player and interactive
  • Excellent communication skills and IT literate
