Full Job Description
In this position you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our trades team has all the necessary materials required in a timely manner. You will provide an excellent stores customer service experience to both internal and external customers and stakeholders. You will work closely with the Stores Manager, Transport Coordinator and your team to maintain a well organised and efficient service, contributing to a seamless operation. As a Stores Operative, you will:
- Efficiently manage stock levels ensuring that trades have access to required materials by receiving, inspect, and record incoming stock accurately.
- Issue and receive stock through the stores stock control system to ensure accurate stock movements.
- Take receipt of deliveries and ensure all materials are retained correctly to maintain correct stock records.
- Maintain effective communication channels with team members and suppliers to facilitate a smooth operation.
- Raise purchase orders for both stock items and collections.
- Always ensure good housekeeping of the Stores premises.
- Organise and maintain a clean, safe, and accessible store area.
- Schedule vehicle MOT's and services working towards minimizing operative downtime.
- Action vehicle daily defect reports and find solutions in the event of vehicle breakdowns to ensure business continuity.
- Collaborate with Manager/s and team to identify and address and stock related issues or requirements.
- Assist in inventory management, conducting regular stock checks and reporting discrepancies.

- Full time, 12 month Fixed Term Contract
- Group stakeholder pension plan (Eastlight will double, up to 5% of the employee's contribution - Employee 5% + Eastlight 10% = Total 15%)

- 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
