Full Job Description

Based from our head office in Leeds we're looking for a Stores & Warehouse Assistant. The purpose of this role is to support both IETG and 40Seven in delivering their operational commitments by ensuring that all equipment is stored, maintained and available as required.

This includes ensuring surveying equipment, consumable and safety equipment items are ready and available in line with operational requirements.

Accountabilities and goals:

  • Provide a first-class service to internal customers ensuring equipment and consumables are issued in a timely manner

  • Ensure the warehouse and stores are kept in a clean, tidy and safe state at all times

  • Assist with the receipt and dispatch of goods into and out of the business, Equipment maintenance and issue

  • Issuing surveying equipment and consumables as required

  • Ensure all equipment returned is scanned into the relevant systems and scanned out when issued so location of equipment is always known

  • Assist with maintenance of surveyors/field crew PPE & work clothes

  • Using consumable sheets received from field teams, pick required equipment and consumables and put into relevant locations/containers ready for pick up

  • Ensure all returned equipment is stored in right place in the warehouses

  • Issue PPE as required

  • Carry out movement of equipment between buildings - eg batteries / surveying equipment

  • Ensure equipment is booked out as used eg gas detectors


  • Goods in and out

    Receive and process incoming goods and materials both physically and onto relevant systems
  • Ensure safe storage of all goods and equipment

  • Check all deliveries against documentation

  • Ensure all goods out are packaged according to requirements prior to dispatch

  • Assist with the packaging and export of any customer orders


  • Other duties
  • Carry out general warehouse housekeeping duties ensure it is clean, tidy and free from hazards

  • Assist with the facilities management of existing office and warehouse locations, including use of forklift and small building maintenance tasks

  • Assist with weekly, monthly and annual stock control and stock check counts and processes

  • Support the Purchasing and Stores Assistant with purchasing activities as required

  • Assist with waste management duties

  • Support the Fleet Administrator with vehicle management checks and reviews

  • Comply with all health and safety requirements and company procedures in relation to the stores and warehouse activities


  • This is not an exhaustive list of duties and you may be asked to carry out other duties, responsibilities or tasks within the scope and spirit of your role. All job descriptions are subject to regular review.

  • Full UK manual drivers licence with no more than 3 points.

  • Able to carry out manual handling activities

  • Produce accurate work with attention to detail

  • IT skills including Outlook and Excel

  • Previous logistics/stores/warehouse experience


  • Experience:
  • Previous experience of using stock control systems


  • Qualifications:
  • Counterbalance forklift truck licence

    Working hours are 40 hours per week on a rota basis between the hours of 07:15 - 16:15 with flexibility around this. We also require flexibility around traveling to other office sites.
