Full Job Description

The post holder will be part of the Housing team, which undertakes several key statutory and nonstatutoryhousing functions, both operational and strategic. The role of the Strategic Housing andCommissioning Officer is to ensure the right homes are built in the right places, and that the Council'sdelivery and management of homes creates thriving and sustainable communities across Shropshire.Further to this the postholder is responsible for liaising with internal and external partners to ensurethat post occupancy accommodation is managed successfully, and that accommodation meets allrequired health and safety and regulatory requirements.About you.This is an exciting opportunity to join the Housing team and to have a direct impact and influence onthe delivery and provision of specialist and supported housing for those receiving assistance fromthe Council's social care teams. We are looking for someone with a commitment to embedding highstandards within the Council's housing and accommodation arrangements and with a focus onenabling people to maintain their independence and live well and healthy lives.,
