Full Job Description

As a Strategic HR Leader, you will play a pivotal role in championing staff well being, recognising that a healthy and engaged workforce is essential for fostering a positive learning atmosphere. By implementing innovative HR strategies focused on employee support, professional development, and a culture of inclusivity, you will empower our educators and staff, ultimately enhancing their ability to inspire and nurture our students. Together, we can create a thriving educational community that priorities well being and drives exceptional pupil achievement.,

  • To strategically develop and lead the delivery of inclusive people management strategies which support Furze Down School's strategic priorities and culture.
  • To provide professional HR skills, technical capabilities and, specialist knowledge, including employment legislation, integrity in decision-making and operational activity, and source external support and guidance.
  • To lead the functional provision of advice and support to line managers across the school on a broad range of HR issues and disseminate good practice in line with Furze Down School values.
  • To develop and use analytics and trend analysis to help shape and influence HR strategies to support the school's objectives.
  • To drive employee engagement and retention plans, including the assessment, analysis and facilitation of plans to address employee turnover and workforce issues.
  • To be responsible for the line management and development of the HR Senior Adviser and through them the wider HR team
  • Sustaining High Performing Teams ensuring succession planning through staff development and training ensuring professional development opportunities and progression

    A relevant degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Administration, or a related field.
  • Chartered Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) or equivalent HR qualification.
