Full Job Description

As the Strategic Programme Lead you will report into the Technology Solutions Director and you will establish, shape and lead the delivery of the largest and most complex strategic change programmes/change portfolios, all of which have significant impact across the organisation. All while ensuring alignment with BSI's strategic objectives and goals.
Responsibilities:

  • Establish, shape and lead the delivery of large and complex change programmes.

  • Work with the business divisions and functions to ensure sufficient resources with required skills and capabilities are available to deliver on the programmes.

  • Ensure appropriate governance is established, Programme Steering Boards are effective, and blockers are efficiently removed.

  • Manage expectations of the Sponsors/Business Owners and ensure required outcomes are achieved.

  • Ensure all programme workstreams are clear about their responsibilities and held accountable for deliverables.

  • Present options and ensuring appropriate trade-offs to reduce the delivery risks and increase confidence that programmes will be successful.

  • Coach stakeholders to adopt the behaviors and tools that will allow them to succeed throughout the delivery lifecycle.

  • Reviewing and reporting on implementation progress through oversight of outcomes and benefit tracking.

  • Partner with Change Management teams to ensure the impacts on business functions are considered and understood and that all change is effectively communicated and transition support is in place.

  • Establish effective delivery assurance to ensure objectives are being met and that any common themes are identifies and managed appropriately.

  • Managing, coaching and developing direct reports.

    Extensive experience delivering large, complex programmes.

  • Great track-record of successful delivery of programmes and outcomes.

  • Demonstrable experience of complex stakeholder management (communication, negotiation and conflict resolution)

  • Experience managing and coaching direct reports to improve performance.

  • Project/Programme management qualifications (Prince2, MSP, AgilePM etc.)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work across functions in a matrix organisation.
