Full Job Description

We are looking to appoint a Strategic Projects Officer to support the Faculty through managing a portfolio of projects and their operational delivery, and working closely with the leadership team to implement key strategic initiatives. This role will lead project planning and delivery as well as lead on co-ordination of project work streams to ensure effective collaboration and efficient ways of working to achieve an ambitious set of projects to further the Faculty's goals.
The role is offered as a fixed term contract for 12 months or is available as a secondment opportunity for internal candidates. The successful candidate will be an experienced higher education professional with project management skills, and experience in implementing strategic initiatives and / or managing change. As a strong team player, the Strategic Projects Officer will have highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work to deadlines calmly under pressure, with close attention to detail and a flexible approach to changing priorities.
The successful candidate will be confident in handling and analysing data and management information and be able to draft reports and documentation effectively to support strategic decision-making and wider communication of initiatives. They will also be highly organised and self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively to support the Dean's Team and maintain momentum on key activities.
