Data, Digital & Innovation Strategy & Execution Manager As a Strategy and Implementation Manager you will be responsible for driving strategic and priority projects through the design and development phases. All the way through to supervising implementation and delivering change management. The focus of this role will be primarily on strategic growth priorities related to our data and digital agenda in our global facultative business - which is a core pillar of our long-term strategy, in addition you will support the Global Facultative S&E team on work relating to the annual planning cycle. You will leverage our data and insights to work with the business to identify new areas of opportunity and bring them to life, building market-leading differentiated value-added tools to improve client retention. Responsibilities include both the technical delivery of work and the communication of findings to brokers and clients. As a senior member of the team the candidate will be expected to manage projects from inception to delivery, engaging other colleagues, teams and clients as required. Through strategic planning, facilitation you will lead workstreams by, managing, influencing, and coordinating the end-to-end process. Your success will depend on your ability to deeply understand business needs, develop successful partner and client relationships and balance local with global requirements. You will serve in a key partnership role with leaders and colleagues across our global business to drive programs and initiatives, critical to the success of our long-term plan. This role is based in London and will have dual reporting (1) Strategy & Execution Practice Leader for Global Facultative Reinsurance (2) The Global Growth Leader (Facultative) Data, Digital & Innovation. We have a dynamic team that are responsible for the execution and implementation of key global initiatives across Reinsurance Solutions, part of our Risk Capital Solution Line. Areas of focus/responsibility:

  • Develop roadmaps and strategic planning/project material to craft, lead and implement.
  • Analysis of data for opportunity identification: Pro-actively identify efficiency opportunities through portfolio optimisation, segmentation, & distribution,
  • Respond to colleagues' requests for access to data to enable better client conversations
  • Collaborating with and coordinating analytical teams in the development of new pricing, actuarial, and modelling tools
  • Development and presentation of facility proposals & market submissions
  • Understanding of local strategies, and developing these into global initiatives and solutions that enable business growth
  • Building and developing tools and solutions to enable the business.
  • Key initiatives forming the global strategic priorities of our solution line.
  • Support in leadership reporting relating to the annual performance cycle
  • Growth planning for the data, digital and innovation roadmap
  • Business change
  • Other key priorities as defined from time to time
  • How this opportunity is different You will be engaging with stakeholders of all levels from around the globe and be responsible for implementing both regional and global strategies. You will work across projects being able to see the impact of your contributions as you implement the strategy you have supported the development of. Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Highly numerate graduate (minimum 2.1 degree) with 5+ years' experience in Reinsurance, ideally facultative reinsurance
  • Experience in developing and implementing long and short term regional/global strategic initiatives focussed on delivering business objectives.
  • Collaborating across geographies and functions including Broking and teams across ABS
  • Ability to contribute to the overall strategic business agenda actively and credibly.
  • A commercial mind-set with the ability to balance strategic needs with delivering practical solutions.
  • Proficient in developing effective long-term plans
  • Analytical skills - strong data analysis and manipulation.
  • Strong communicator - presenting sophisticated ideas simply
  • Strong time management skills - handling several projects at the same time
  • Critical thinking - problem diagnosis and problem solving
  • Creative, innovative and logical thinking
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • Additional Skills: Preferred but not a prerequisite
  • Underwriting experience
  • European language skills a benefit
  • Expert user in Excel, SQL (R / Python would be beneficial)
