Full Job Description

We have a great opportunity to join our newly created in-house strategy team, which was set up by the Northern Europe President to define our BU Strategy and drive implementation. In a nutshell, the Strategy team is responsible for two main things.

  • First, the creation of the long term BU strategy across all levers (eg marketing, innovation, commercial, revenue growth management, operations), in collaboration with the Business units (eg category commercial, marketing, operations).
  • Second, the delivery of strategic projects (management consultancy style), that will enable us to deliver our BU strategy (selected by the NE president and CFO).
  • The Strategy Manager will be a core part of this agile Strategy team (of 6 headcounts). This role will expose you to a wide variety of functions and departments and provide you with a strong understanding of the total business. We may also sell our work externally to retailers and key partners. Examples of projects could include the Away from Home Go to Market Strategy, Category Development work on our latest adjacencies (eg Pasta Sauces), Revenue Growth Management work on our core business (eg Soup), and building the strategy and framework to derive and execute our Must Stock list.,
  • Drive the annual strategic process, in line with our brand growth framework - including the facilitation of key stakeholder workshops
  • Lead strategic projects end to end: from defining the scope, to working with the business unit to deliver it (which can include external stakeholder meetings) and presenting to the Northern Europe leadership team
  • Bring best-in-class practices and perspectives based on external and internal observations
  • Potential for line management
  • Opportunity to manage a trainee / intern

5+ years of experience, ideally at a top tier management consultancy company (focused on FMCG), or at a major FMCG's in house strategy team
  • Line management experience preferred, Proactive: You're a go getter and self-starter, you're not easily thrown off your game, not even when you get resistance - your resilience means you continue to move onwards and upwards.
  • Communication: At Kraft Heinz you'll easily be exposed to senior management, no matter your level. Therefore, it's important you have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to simplify complex messages and situations
  • Analytical: We're a very data oriented company and strive to translate complex data into a simple solution with an analytical approach.
  • Results driven: We don't only focus on individual results, but always do what's best for the team and company, taking true ownership to go above and beyond to make it happen
  • Empathy: you are clear how your actions impact others and conscious of their context and environment
  • Teamwork: Achieving results is nice, but achieving results with the team is simply the best. As a great teammate, you will sometimes be the leader, sometimes a follower but always working towards the same common goal together with your teammates, with a we not me mindset

At Kraft Heinz, we're not afraid to think differently. Embrace new ideas. Dream big. It all comes down to the way we empower our people to own their work. It's true: Our employees are what makes us successful. As part of the Kraft Heinz family you're supported to grow and achieve and will be recognized and rewarded for outstanding performance at every level. You're given the opportunity to leave your mark and build legacies. But you won't do it alone. This is where our values and teamwork thrives and collaborative spirit fuels every day.
