Bring us your capability, and we'll help you take it much, much further., Located within the Network Management team who are, under the TMA 2004 and NRSWA 1991 responsible fir co-ordinating all activities on the road network by the issuing or refusing of permits to work on the highway. The role is to assist the Traffic & Network Manager and undertake all Network management duties and tasks as requested by assisting members of the coordination and compliance teams in their daily duties. These include the coordination and inspection of all works undertaken on the public Highway, ensuring the relevant legislation is complied with and we meet our network management duties.

  • Provide a high-quality service to assist in achievement of departmental service, and personal performance targets
  • Assist with planning, delivery and monitoring of core objectives of the team
  • Monitor and review effectiveness and compliance of services
  • Assist in reviewing, testing and developing programmes and processes
  • Review permit applications to work on the highway, grant or refuse permits and issue appropriate conditions to coordinate works and allocated road space

    Educated to GCSE standard
  • NRSWA Accreditation (desirable)
  • Excellent IT and report writing skills with the ability to communicate at the highest levels
  • Good knowledge and experience of legislation and codes of practice that relate to the role
  • Experience of working in a Network Management environment
  • Knowledge of permit schemes for roads and street works
