Full Job Description

Are you passionate about supporting talented and high-performing athletes? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and organised Strength and Conditioning Coach to join the Sport and Commercial Services Division at the University of East Anglia (UEA) Sportspark.

You will lead on the delivery and development of strength and conditioning across a range of talented and high-performance athlete programmes. These programmes will include uea+sport's individual sport scholarship and focus team sport scholarship programmes as well as working with a range of external organisation funded programmes, currently including the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS), Professional Game and Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) and Professional Footballer's Association (PFA).

Key duties of the role include delivering strength and conditioning sessions to athletes and some Sportspark community members, working collaboratively with a range of multi-disciplinary practitioners, sport coaches and programme leads to provide an excellent experience to both student and non-student athletes.

You will report to both the Student Performance Sport Manager and the Sportspark Head of Department - Fitness. You will have a degree in a relevant specialist subject (Strength and Conditioning, Sport Science etc.), or equivalent level of relevant qualification. UKSCA Accreditation (or the ability to obtain this within 6 months of appointment) and an MSc in Strength and Conditioning or a relevant specialist qualification (Sports Science, Sports Performance etc.) are desirable.

This full-time post is available from 17 February 2025 on an indefinite basis.
