Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a band 5 Occupational Therapist into our Stroke Rehabilitation service, based in the West of the county. The service has received excellent feedback from patients, carers and commissioners.

The team values positive feedback, and equally the wellbeing of staff, aiming at all times for high levels of staff satisfaction.

Our service provides Rehabilitation post Stroke for patients across Somerset. Both within their home and as part of specialist inpatient units. There may be occasions, based on available service capacity whereby you are required to assess and treat other conditions such as Acquired Brain Injury and other neurological conditions, with full support.

We achieve high standards in our service by ensuring that all members of the workforce feel well supported, with offers of regular clinical supervision and operational support via the leadership team. We also provide regular opportunities to meet as a profession, in order to forge a strong sense of professional identity., The OT workforce within Stroke services are a strong forward thinking group, and work closely together with a clinical specialist band 7 OT, to ensure individual and service level development remains a high priority. As part of this role, and our investment in your development, we will provide a bespoke development plan, tailored to meet your individual needs.
