Full Job Description

+ To provide clinical assessment and intervention to service users with Personality Disorders, to the local community team, quadrant based service using a Structured Clinical Management Model.
+ To participate and contribute in the Structured Clinical Management Model including group programme.
+ To participate in and contribute to the Personality Disorder Pathway supervision group.
+ To care coordinate / work as named worker for clients on caseload.
+ To maintain training and skills in working with this group, and to participate in trust training programme.
+ All staff should comply with the Trust's Anti-Discriminatory Statement, Employee Charter, Trust Policies and Procedures, Code of Conduct and Equality and Diversity., + Provide standardised assessment and intervention to service users with complex mental health needs and with the diagnosis of personality disorder.
+ Provide Structure Clinical Management for Service Users on caseload and to support the wider Structured Clinical Management programme.
+ To attend peer consult and supervision as part of maintaining rigorous clinical standards.
+ The post-holder will work closely with both psychological therapies staff and other non-psychological therapy colleagues as part of this programme.

We are looking for a number of new multi-disciplinary staff who share our passion and commitment to work with individuals with Personality disorder to improve their wellbeing and achieve great outcomes together. We now have vacancies for band 5 workers to join us and offer structured clinical management. Structured Clinical Management is a proven approach for working with people diagnosed with emotionally unstable personality disorders. Training will be provided, and this offers an exciting opportunity to join an established group of therapists to offer a quadrant wide therapy service within the community mental health team, as well as joining the wider network of therapists across the trust. The service works to meet the needs of service users who are experiencing significant difficulties with emotional instability and working within the local multi-disciplinary community teams. We pride ourselves on the quality of the service that we offer and place, This post would suit someone with a core mental health qualification and registration (including those recently qualified in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, or other appropriately registered therapists - see person spec for details) or a psychology graduate (eligible for BPS registration) with more than 2 years' experience in community mental health settings. The successful applicants will also have an interest in working collaboratively with service users to develop their skills to improve their ability to tolerate and manage strong emotion. It would suit someone who loves working as part of a team and alongside multidisciplinary colleagues. Ideally we are looking for someone with experience of working with this service user group in any care setting, or someone who has transferable skills. The role will be interesting and varied, and the worker will have an opportunity to contribute to our group therapies programme for this group. There are
also excellent opportunities to progress and undertake further training to progress. The post will be based out of one of the community teams, but the ability to work flexibly as the needs of the service demands will be essential. The post holder would expect some travel within their working week.
