Full Job Description

We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Structures Mechanic to join our Base Maintenance team. This role is based at our head office at Norwich Airport and is Monday - Friday with a seasonal shift pattern of 6 months Summer 07:30-14:36 and 6 months Winter 07:30-16:36.,

  • As directed by the Structures Team Technician/Supervisor perform aircraft maintenance tasks in line with the aircraft maintenance data.

  • Follow the company Health & Safety policies and report all accidents and near misses.

  • Ensure good housekeeping and clean environment are always maintained.

  • Follow Approved Data at all times.

  • Ensure all work performed on an aircraft is documented with the appropriate level of detail.

  • Ensure handovers are effective.

  • Ensure all Personal tools are maintained and controlled according to company policy.

  • Report airworthiness safety concerns through the internal Safety Reporting system.

    Basic Engineering Apprenticeship and/or Armed Forces Aircraft training. Formal Structures qualification desirable.

  • Minimum of 3 years proven experience of aircraft structural repair/modifications.

  • Structural experience on Boeing 737, BAe 146 and Embraer aircraft, within a Part 145 environment desirable.

  • Human Factors, Fuel tank safety training and EWIS training

  • Proven ability to use specialist tools for major structure repairs such as but not limited to, cold working, English Wheel, Powered Rollers, Powered guillotine.

  • Proven ability to read and work from Engineering drawings and aircraft manuals.

  • Basic knowledge of EASA/CAA, HSE legislation.

  • Basic IT knowledge/experience., Open to development feedback with appetite to continuously develop and improve own performance.

  • An effective communicator

  • Able to work under your own initiative making recommendations to solve problems when appropriate.

  • Aware of costs and how to maximise efficiency.

  • Efficient with time management.
