Full Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. Calling all content creators! Want to show prospective applicants what it's like to study at Manchester Met? We are looking for students to create a mix of TikTok/Instagram-style content inspired by your personal university experiences and current trends. Depending on the video, you may be expected to talk in detail about your course, what you enjoy about Manchester Met, your placement or study abroad experience, or perhaps something fun and light-hearted such as ways to unwind or some of your favourite food spots. We would like the videos to be a mix of self-shot and filmed content. Therefore, we are looking for students who are comfortable capturing their own social media content, talking to the camera and confident with using an editing tool/application. These videos will go out to prospective students to help them get excited about studying at Manchester Met and life in Manchester on social media, emails and in future presentations. Dates: January 2025 onwards Hours: 2 hours per video, Manchester Metropolitan University is committed to supporting the rights, responsibilities, dignity, health and wellbeing of staff and students through our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.

This role is open to current Manchester Met students who meet the following requirements -

  • From the Faculty of Business and Law
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willing to talk about their own experience
  • Excellent verbal skills and comfortable speaking in front of a camera
  • Able to be a positive role model to young people
  • Responsible attitude and the ability to show initiative
  • Students will be required to work collaboratively with the Marketing team and therefore, will need to be contactable via email
