As our Student Engagement Coordinator - 'Enrichment' , you will have to plan and deliver a diverse range of cross-college enrichment activities and opportunities, ensuring an inclusive and engaging programme that complements learners' study programmes and promotes their personal and social development. Hull College provides high-quality education & training for school leavers & adults, offering a wide range of vocational study programmes, Apprenticeships & degrees. Responsibilities of our Student Engagement Coordinator - 'Enrichment': Planning and delivering a termly calendar of cross-college enrichment activities, including:
- Events linked to awareness days.
- Sports and cultural events.
- Activities that encourage cultural engagement (e.g., museum visits, theatre trips, music events, foreign language/culture clubs, film clubs).
- Activities that develop community and civic awareness (e.g., volunteering projects, social action)
- Activities that provide physical activity (e.g., sports, fitness classes, outdoor recreation).
- Activities that foster creativity and self-expression (e.g., art, music, dance, creative writing). Supporting curriculum areas to plan and deliver departmental enrichment activities, including:
- Providing guidance and resources to departments.
- Collaborating with departments to ensure a diverse and inclusive offering of activities.
- Encouraging departments to offer activities available to all students.
- Supporting student voice initiatives, ensuring students' views and ideas are communicated and 'You Said We Did' actions shared.
- Supporting the planning and promotion of student CPD week activities.
- Supporting the creation and running of student-led clubs and societies.
- Monitoring and reporting on attendance and engagement to enrichment activities.
- Working collaboratively with the Senior/Wider Leadership Team to ensure the successful implementation of the Enrichment Strategy.
- Building strong partnerships with local businesses, charitable organisations, alumni, and local agencies to provide real-world enrichment opportunities.
GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in English and Maths or willing to work towards - Experience in planning and delivering engaging and inclusive enrichment activities.
- Understanding of the benefits of enrichment for students, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
- Understanding of equality and diversity issues.
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work flexibly, including evening and weekend work
