Full Job Description
You will be responsible for taking the lead on planning and delivering the orientation programme and 'catch up' sessions for scholars. You will work closely with the AfOx Student Engagement Officer and the Oxford University Africa Society (AfriSoc) to contribute to the mentorship programmes and support the AfOx scholars as they prepare to come to Oxford. You will contribute to the shaping and delivery of key programming events for scholars. Additionally, you will work closely with Scholarship Manager to contribute to the design and delivery of the AfOx Scholarship Pogramme in identifying areas in which the AfOx Scholars might need support throughout the academic year.
It is essential that you are educated to A Level standard or equivalent together with excellent interpersonal, advocacy and diplomacy skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. You will have experience in event organisation with demonstrable experience working with teams and excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Experience of working with or advocating for graduate students is desirable.
