Full Job Description

Come and join our Academic Registry Team, where you will contribute to the management and delivery of effective administration of student funding.
We are looking for an innovative Manger who will be responsible for managing effective and efficient delivery of all aspects of student funding administration. This will include administrative processes relating to bursaries and scholarships, tuition fees and Student Loans, which are the main source of income for the University, as part of the wider Student Administration team.
In your new role, there will be the opportunity to liaise with other internal departments and relevant external agencies, i.e the Student Loans Company. You will be responsible for providing information and advice on university-wide services, policies and procedures.
This role gives you the chance to deliver a high-quality user-focussed service, reflecting higher education sector good practice, and ensure institutional objectives for the student experience are met.
We are looking for someone who

o Has a knowledge of the student lifecycle and student administration in higher education.
o Is able to plan and prioritise a range of work activities, delegating tasks and meeting sometimes conflicting deadlines.
o Has experience of recruiting, managing and motivating staff and developing people within their roles.
o Demonstrates a practical approach to problem-solving and provision of support and guidance.
o Is a confident communicator, who is patient and sensitive to the needs of others.

This is a part-time role, working 18.5 hours a week on a permanent basis. As this position is already part of a job share, it is not available for further job share applications.
This position offers a generous 25 days of annual leave pro rata, in addition to the eight bank holidays and university discretion days between Christmas and New Year.
Further information about the role and qualities we are looking for are attached in the job description.
