    We are looking for an enthusiastic student to join our Student Opportunities Team!


  • We are looking for a student to support Student Leaders projects, as part of the new Student Leaders remit. As a team member of the Student Opportunities team, you will be tasked with both project administration and management tasks; such as taking minutes, contributing to meetings, project planning, using Google Drive, setting agendas and scheduling meetings. Furthermore, you will gather and act on feedback, have to think strategically to help develop a brand new all-year training and development programme and network within the city with other stakeholders. You will be given the chance to develop these skills throughout your time at the Union. Within the Student Opportunities team, you will be empowered to lead your own projects, as well as support others.

    The Student Leaders administrator will also be able to support the delivery of various different events. This may include campaigns, conferences, networking events or socials.

    We're looking for a student who is keen to get stuck in and make meaningful change at UPSU and within the city of Portsmouth. With your help the Union can provide students with better and more frequent opportunities for their own social and career development.

    Skills you'll need

  • Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office suite and Google Drive

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to relate to people at all levels

    The University of Portsmouth Students' Union (The Union or UPSU for short) is a forward thinking, friendly organisation with a vision of "delivering a positive impact with every Portsmouth student".
