Full Job Description

You will be a key member of a collaborative and dynamic team who focus on providing outstanding experiences for our students. You will be an enthusiastic and committed individual who will work closely with both curriculum and student services staff to support the academic and personal development of our 16-19 year old students.

The successful applicant will support a caseload of Sport and Public Services students, meeting them regularly, monitoring their attendance, as well as supporting them to maximise their potential and progress to further/higher education, training or employment.

Additionally, you will support students to develop strategies in study skills and include delivery of a self, society and skills framework. You will work closely with those students who are at risk and/or vulnerable and create intervention strategies to support their continued success.

Sunderland College has been delivering highly successful courses for more than 2 years and is one of the largest providers of post-16 education in the North East with approximately 14,300 students.

The College has two campuses across the city of Sunderland, offering a wide range of academic and vocational provision for school leavers and adults. The College aims to develop and positively shape lives, communities and the economy through teaching, learning and development of skills.
