Full Job Description

The University of Central Lancashire is looking for a Student Recruitment Assistant join the fast-paced UK Student Recruitment team. This is a fixed term contract for 12 months to cover a secondment.
The UK university sector is becoming increasingly more competitive and institutions are having to innovate and differentiate themselves from the competition. We are therefore looking for a highly organised, innovative, and collaborative person to help us in this period of change and opportunity.
As Student Recruitment Assistant your responsibilities will include working with our pool of student ambassadors who are an extension to the UK Student Recruitment team and support on many of our events and activities throughout the cycle. You will support the recruitment, training, booking and payments of the ambassadors, and be involved in the organisation and delivery of some of our on-campus events and visits for prospective students.
There may also be the opportunity to support with virtual events or off-campus recruitment activities, travelling primarily in the North West supporting the team with showcasing the University, giving advice and guidance to prospective students, their parents, teachers, employers, careers advisers and other influencers about our undergraduate, postgraduate and degree apprenticeship provision.

The successful candidate will have GCSEs at grade C or above, including English Language and Math's, or equivalent, and a Higher Education qualification. They will be someone who thrives in a busy, customer-focused working environment, coordinating events and activities in support of the University's UK Student Recruitment Strategy.
This role would suit an individual who has experience delivering great customer service working on events or training and managing large groups of casual workers. The applicant must have strong verbal and written communication skills, to effectively engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
