Full Job Description
Leigh Academy Hugh Christie has an exciting opportunity to appoint a Student Services Manager to join their thriving team from January 2025. This role will play a key part in improving student attendance, alongside supporting the overall social, moral, and spiritual wellbeing of our students.
Our ideal candidate will have experience working with secondary-aged students and be skilled in building excellent working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, both within the academy and with external agencies. We are looking for someone with a positive, proactive mindset, who is always willing to go the extra mile to support our students and make a real difference in their lives.
The primary purpose of this role is to manage the wellbeing of students across the college communities, liaising with parents, carers, and external agencies where necessary. The role will also focus on improving student attendance, ensuring that all students are supported to reach their full potential.
This is a highly rewarding position within the pastoral team, where you will work closely with other Student Services Managers and the leadership team, supporting the daily operational needs of the academy.
If you are passionate about making a difference and have the experience and drive to lead in this important area, we would love to hear from you.
The basis of the role is permanent, 37 hours per week, Term Time + 1 weeks inset, offering an actual salary of £20,252 to £20,758 per annum (£23,338 to £23,921 full-time equivalent) based on experience.
