  • We are looking to appoint a Student Support Assistant to support students to overcome the barriers of attending school and lessons by working with students, staff, parents/carers and external agencies. These barriers would include factors such as medical, social, behavioural, emotional and Mental Health issues. The work of the Student Support Department is to promote inclusion of all students and their families. Applicants should have the skills and a proven record in administration and the ability to be flexible. Please note candidates are welcome to come and have an informal conversation with the department if they would like to do so, prior to interview. Edgbarrow School believes in setting the highest standards in all areas of school life and we are looking for a purposeful and committed individual who wants to join and enhance our strong team. We offer an excellent induction programme, promotion prospects and a highly supportive working environment. The Student Support Assistant role would also qualify in the admissions process for your child to attend Edgbarrow if you live out of catchment. This would come into operation after two years of service. Edgbarrow is located in the village of Crowthorne, Berkshire.
