Full Job Description

PCSM) is a unique partnership between Imperial College London and the University of Cumbria to establish a new medical school in Carlisle.

The School will offer a four-year graduate entry programme, with the first cohort of 58 students entering in August 2025.

We are seeking to appoint a Subject Development Lead for Interprofessional Education, Leadership and Teamwork. Working closely with the module leads, you will be responsible for the planning a variety of learning events that integrate content from across the curriculum, and enable collaborative learning experiences for PCSM students with those on other allied medical professional and bioscience programmes at the University of Cumbria.

Sessions will embed anatomy, diagnostics, team-working, professional values and behaviours and clinical skills where required.

In addition, you will support the development and delivery of leadership and teamwork teaching and assessments within the Clinical Skills and Professional Practice module, working closely with the module lead and development leads.

In this role you will work collaboratively with doctors, scientists and allied health professionals. You will support curriculum development, the creation of teaching materials, the establishment of assessment and monitoring processes, and the delivery of teaching and assessment of the curriculum from August 2025.

  • A higher degree (. MSc or PhD) in a discipline related to health sciences

    A background that provides appropriate contextual knowledge of interprofessional education, teamwork and leadership or other related areas in a HE or NHS context

  • Evidence of effective teaching in interprofessional education, teamwork and leadership through a range of teaching styles and formats

  • A highly collaborative and approach, with the proven ability to work across disciplines and coordinate others
