Full Job Description

Dates: For course dates between start of July and end of July 2025 Pay: £32 to £55 per hour, equivalent to minimum £480 per course. Pay bands depend on subject knowledge and relevant teaching experience. Accommodation and travel expenses not covered. Working pattern: 12 hrs of lessons per 1-week course. Preparation allowance additional to contact time. Main duties

  • Plan your own course - Use your teaching expertise to prepare engaging topics and teaching materials tailored to a class of up to 15 students aged 12-14.
  • Interactive teaching - Guide students through a positive, yet challenging learning journey, helping them achieve their potential.
  • Classroom management - Foster a positive classroom atmosphere where good behaviour and focus contribute to a productive learning experience for all.
  • Provide feedback - Support students academic development through constructive feedback to develop their skills, and personalised reports at the end of the course.
  • Complete an induction - Familiarise yourself with company procedures, logistical requirements and safeguarding in advance.
  • Support students: Record attendance and stay attentive to student welfare and safeguarding, reporting any concerns to keep students safe.

  • You have a strong understanding of safeguarding, prioritising student safety and well-being in all aspects of teaching
  • Essential
  • Bachelor s or higher degree in a relevant subject
  • Experience teaching or working with young people in a similar role
  • Excellent at planning creative classes and engaging teaching for mixed ability groups
  • Able to adapt to suit the learning needs of young international students
  • Right to work in the UK (we cannot sponsor work visas for this role)
  • Desirable
  • Experienced in teaching across primary and secondary levels
  • Comfortable working with non-native speakers
  • Working towards or holding a PGCE, QTS, or other relevant teaching qualifications
