As our new Substance Misuse Recovery Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

  • Delivering outstanding care to psycho social patients, seeking out, listening to, and acting on their feedback - ensuring that their care is personalised and tailored to the individual
  • Providing a programme of psycho social interventions
  • Provide information and advice on substance misuse, alcohol, smoking cession, blood borne viruses and safe sex practices
  • Delivering care on a 1-1 basis as well as group sessions
  • Assisting the healthcare team on the wings and in house blocks

  • Have experience of working within the substance misuse multi-disciplinary framework, which includes housing, social care, health care and mental health pathways

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Recovery Worker to join the team at HMP Five Wells - a Category C resettlement prison in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.
  • Join the Recovery Team and empower those whom wish to make changes in their behaviour to promote health and well-being through recovery from drugs and alcohol. This is a crucial role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care. HMP Five Wells is a new prison, only open since 2022 with fantastic facilities and strong links to the community! Hours: This is a full time role, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Sunday with weekends on a rotational basis. Hours are 08:00 - 16:00, but we can be flexible on shift times. Salary: This position is full time , youll receive an annual salary up to £29,085 per annum - depending on experience. How will we support you?
