Full Job Description

To be responsible for planning and developing a cross-sectional imaging service that meets Radiology Directorate and Trust Targets and to implement service changes, including the implementation of new CT scanners and imaging systems.

To develop the skills of imaging staff to provide and meet the changing service needs in cross sectional imaging, including development of training and competency programs.

To operationally manage the CT Departments across all sites, including the out of hours service. The post-holder will liaise with referring Directorates to provide a responsive service in line with the patient needs.

The post-holder will take an active role in risk management and will be responsible for taking the lead in risk management and governance issues in the areas managed.

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious diagnostic radiographer with excellent communication skills and a strong technical background in CT scanning to lead our CT service.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing a large team and have good knowledge of governance, risk management, service-relevant key performance indicators and budget management experience.

The successful candidate will be keen to implement change and embrace the fast paced nature of the industry, demonstrating a high level of resilience and problem solving matched with excellent organisational skills.
