Full Job Description

Recruit, assess and monitor the suitability of Foster Carers.
- Support Foster Carers to evidence their competence against training standards.
- Provide and record regular supervision in line with the agency's operational standards.
- Undertake support visits.
- Contribute to Foster Carer Annual Reviews within required timescales.
- Ensure that the Foster Carers have an accurate and up to date Foster Care Agreement
- Identify learning and development needs
- Undertake initial visits and carer assessments
- Attend meetings to support Foster Carers, children and young people.
- Assist in the delivery of training.
- Out of Hours duty system on a rota basis - £35 per day.

CQSW, Diploma in Social Work or BA in Social Work.
Experience of working with children and families.
A knowledge of legislation's relevant to children and families.
Be able to work under pressure with competing demands.
Demonstrate initiative and self-reliance.
Flexible approach to providing effective support to Foster Carers.
A commitment to personal self-development and training.
Excellent assessment and analytical skills.
Proficient communication skills.
Exceptional time management skills.
Professional organisation.
Available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
