Supervising Social Worker (Kinship G8)

An exciting opportunity has become available for a qualified Social Worker to join the Kinship Fostering Team. This is an exciting time to join Cardiff, which is an Authority on the implementation journey that uses the Signs of Safety approach to focus on the support of our Children., You will be responsible for supporting and supervising an enthusiastic group of Kinship foster carers, with whom you will be expected to build and develop effective partnerships, in addition to assessing and new kinship carers.
What we are looking for from you

The suitable applicant must demonstrate that they meet the requirements for a Grade 8 Kinship Fostering Supervising Social Worker as described in the Job Description and Person Specification., A degree in Social Work (or equivalent) is essential for this role and you must be a Registered Social Worker, as well as excellent skills in assessment and the ability to write concise records and reports.

You will be a good team player, have excellent communication and organisation skills and have IT skills.
