Supervisor

We're looking for a Supervisor to join our Transportation team based in Northampton, Nordis Signs provide signage for some of Kier's largest projects, the ethos of Nordis has been to help those with disabilities and difficulties to find meaningful employment. Within this role, you can enjoy a fantastic, matched pension scheme, 24/7 virtual GP service for you and your family, a competitive annual holiday entitlement, with opportunities to buy/sell leave and even more., As a Supervisor, you'll be working within the Production team, supporting them in building signs to meet customer requirements and taking the lead in the production of work assigned daily by the Production Manager, guaranteeing the manufacturing of these orders within the agreed timeframe. Your day to day will include:

• Building a variety of signs to customer requirements using drawings & other documents, ensuring cut vinyl and plates are being made to customer specification
• Supervising employees in fulfilling orders correctly
• Supporting employees with disabilities by developing and progressing their skills and abilities
• Assisting the Production Manager in stock control & assigning work in their absence
• Operating a counterbalance forklift truck (training provided), checking compliance with standard legal and Kier requirements in relation to management of the premises / depot
  
  You hold previous supervisory or line management experience with knowledge of production technical standards and relevant legislation
• Understand the importance of health and safety regulations
• Have the ability to empathise with colleagues that have varied disabilities and assist in maintaining workflow by allocating work effectively
• Drive and hold a current driving licence
