Full Job Description

As a Technology specialist - compute technologies, you will be working day to day in managing a new VMWare private cloud infrastructure consisting of high end / general purpose GPUs with a VDI infrastructure. Responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for end-to-end management of the environment including building new tenancies, aka isolated private compute environments.

  • Responsible for deploying infrastructure as code.

  • Assist in troubleshooting the environments.

  • Managing customer/user expectations.

    Bristol Digital Futures Institute (BDFI), at the University of Bristol, is recruiting a team of enthusiastic and talented technology specialists to work on a ground-breaking sector-agnostic digital twin research facility, the Reality Emulator. This role will be part of a 8-person Reality Emulator technical team and will lead on compute technologies.
