Full Job Description
We are excited to be looking for a part-time (3 days a week) Counsellor to join our team.
The Student Counselling Service at The University of Bristol offers 1-1 and group therapy. We are part of a large system of support services within the Education and Student Success division.
The post is for a permanent and year-round contract. The working pattern is:
Tues 10.30am - 6.30pm
Weds 9am-5pm
Thurs 12pm-8pm
(In person/on-site role)
What will you be doing?
Primarily using a One at a Time (OAAT), you would be supporting students with a broad range of presenting issues. 80% of a Counsellors weekly appointments are OAAT sessions and 20% are offered as 6-session blocks. There are also opportunities to facilitate therapeutic groups. Counselling is offered in person, at the University Campus.
You are passionate about supporting a diverse range of university students! This role is a great mix of working autonomously within a supportive team structure.

We are looking for qualified counsellors with significant therapeutic experience. This post requires BACP accreditation (or equivalent). There is support if you are working towards accreditation - which would need to be completed within your first year in post.
