This is an exciting opportunity to play an active role in the management of student administration and education processes related to undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes within the School. The successful candidate will work alongside the Student Administration Manager (SAM), two other Deputy Student Administration Managers in the School as well as colleagues in the wider Faculty. The role is varied, fast paced and would suit a candidate who enjoys collaborative working, has a high standard of interpersonal skills, and is looking to broaden their management experience within education administration.

What will you be doing?

Working as part of the Professional Services team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring students receive consistently high-quality administrative support during their studies. You will deputise for the Student Administration Manager when required and will take an active role in developing and enhancing existing processes within the school, as well as supporting team members that you line manage and the wider team.

This role requires an individual to be both a manager and a team player, and to have the ability to balance both individual and team workloads. The ability to take initiative and be proactive is key - as is the ability to seek out and make improvements to a process.

We are seeking someone able to work in partnership with academic and professional services staff to drive forward change and deliver effective, efficient processes, yet be flexible and adaptable to different situations.

You should apply if

You should apply if you have the initiative, communication and organisational skills to be an effective and supportive manager and leader. It is essential to have a high level of ability to self-manage and self-motivate. You will possess a high level of accuracy, flexibility and customer service skills and will be able to lead and implement change in a busy and engaging environment. You can prioritise effectively for yourself and others, to ensure the whole team delivers to deadlines.

In addition, you should be experienced in using a range of IT systems and be able to adapt to new systems and processes quickly. You are resilient and positive, even when dealing with complex and challenging problems.
