ALSPAC is a one of the largest birth cohort studies in the world that has collected comprehensive and detailed information on study children and their parents from pregnancy through to young adulthood Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children | Avon Longitudinal Study of Parents and Children | University of Bristol. ALSPAC has collected data from medical records, linkage to other databases, questionnaires measures, hands-on assessment clinics and analyses of biological samples collected over a 35 year period.

The clinic administrator will be supporting the administration of a new ALSPAC sub-study. This will be run at the convenience of participants to ensure the maximum possible uptake. The post holder will need to organise clinic schedules, provide participants with travel compensation, make appointments for participants and set participants up to complete an online measure.

What will you be doing?

The post holder will be required to provide an effective and efficient reception and administrative service for a new sub-study taking place within the ALSPAC clinic. This new sub-study will involve collecting data from ALSPAC participants who are between the ages of 65-85 years old.

The post holder will need to organise clinic schedules, make appointments for participants, book travel and reimburse travel costs and set participants up to complete certain online measures. The candidate would also be required to meet and greet all participants arriving at the clinic and ensure they have an enjoyable clinic visit.

We are looking for a candidate with experience of working in a receptionist role facing external visitors/participants/customers. The candidate must be able to work in a team and ideally have experience of working within a research/clinical setting involving the participation of volunteers.
