Are you interested in shaping the way that Network Rail manages it’s Infrastructure Suppliers?

If so, this role is an exciting move to explore and is an opportunity to work with a diverse range of stakeholders to influence genuine change. You will be working in a dynamic team working closely with internal and external stakeholders. Collaborating with key suppliers to drive improvement in performance, innovations in delivery and managing contracts and variations to secure value for money from a multi-million spend.

About the role (External)

To succeed in this role, you will need a good understanding of UK public sector procurement processes, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and an eye for detail; be dynamic, pro-active and comfortable to working in a fast paced, agile manner and experienced with cross-functional collaboration and senior stakeholder management..

  • Educated to a Business or Economics degree standard or equivalent business experience

  • Procurement experience, to include Supplier Management

  • Experience of driving value from complex supplier contracts and relationships

  • Experience with negotiation and dispute resolution skill set

  • Ability to deliver defined relationship and commercial value

  • Experience with agile cross-functional collaborative working methods

  • Politically aware, with the ability to use direct and indirect influencing strategies

  • Demonstrable level of problem-solving experience

  • Completer finisher mindset

  • Detailed knowledge of the UK Rail Industry, including procurement processes in a reclassified environment
