Supplier Quality & Development Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Supplier Quality & Development Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will ensure the quality and timely delivery of critical parts from suppliers, collaborating with internal stakeholders to support business objectives and enhance product performance.,

• Collaborate with internal teams to foster strong cross-functional partnerships for optimal outcomes.
• Conducted supplier and part risk assessments and developed effective risk mitigation strategies.
• Provide regular supplier progress updates to Purchasing and Quality Assurance teams, including:
+ Open issues + PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) updates + Delivery forecasts and confirmations
• Oversee the approval process for PPAP parts according to the agreed timeline.
• Manage the Non-PPAP part concession process, ensuring robust plans for each part during the build phases.
• Lead Quality and Capacity Verification aligned with development targets.
• Resolve major supplier-related issues, engaging senior management as necessary.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers to enhance quality and efficiency.
  
  Experience in supplier quality engineering, including PPAP, 8D problem-solving, trials, and capacity planning.
• Extrusion process knowledge is a plus but not essential.
• Strong skills in risk assessment, supplier reporting, and issue resolution.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
