Full Job Description
I am seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Supply Chain Assistant to join my client's dynamic Supply Chain Team in Huddersfield. This fixed-term role offers an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the team, assisting with the end-to-end supply chain processes in the manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will have the chance to work in a fast-paced environment, supporting our operations and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain.,
- Communication and Query Management
- Act as a primary point of contact for colleagues and suppliers worldwide, handling emails and phone calls promptly and professionally.
- Manage and resolve queries effectively, ensuring high levels of customer service and satisfaction.
- Supplier and Customer Reporting
- Prepare and deliver daily and weekly reports for suppliers and customers, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Analyse data to provide insights and support decision-making processes.
- Logistics Management
- Coordinate logistics for airfreight, sea freight, and road transportation, ensuring the timely and cost-effective movement of goods.
- Monitor and track shipments, addressing any issues that arise during transit.
- Support for European Supply Chain Manager
- Assist the European Supply Chain Manager in driving sales and improving supply chain processes.
- Manage escalation issues, ensuring swift resolution and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Additional Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members on various supply chain projects and initiatives.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and contribute to team success.
Customer Service and Communication - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong customer service orientation.
- Technical Skills
- Basic IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with supply chain management software is beneficial but not essential.
- Organisational and Time Management
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Education and Experience
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
- Previous experience in supply chain management or a related field is advantageous but not required.
