Full Job Description

Booker Group are recruiting for a Supply Planner role working out of our head office at Equity House in Wellingborough. In this role, you will be responsible for complete end to end planning and flow of stock from supplier to stores and customers for short life products under your control, utilising collected data to maximise availability, whilst minimising inventory and wastage.

  • Manage portfolio of products and suppliers
  • Ensuring all processes remain GSCOP compliant.
  • Manage process changes in branch orderable products.
  • Root causing out of stock and ensure key issues are clearly communicated.
  • Manage poor performing suppliers
  • Ensuring service level and stockholding targets are achieved and maintained.
  • Ensure that smooth intake planning is achieved by adhering to correct processes.
  • Manage and ensure that the value of delisted stock and Overstocks does not exceed the company targets set.
  • Seasonality is identified and pro-active planning is put in place to ensure on-shelf availability targets are met.
  • Identifying and responding to trends
  • Ensuring the launch of new lines
  • Promotional and normal sales forecasts are reviewed, monitored and maintained to ensure on-shelf availability targets are met.
  • To ensure maximum availability for the start and during all event activity, ensuring that critical timescales are adhered to and issues escalated to the correct level.
  • Fostering good working relationship with the trading team ensuring that a daily route of communication is in place in order to deliver the best service to customer.
  • All company policies and procedures implemented to be adhered to.
  • Any issues that arise are escalated to the relevant person/persons

  • Be able to work independently, to problem solve
  • Attention to detail, writing of reports, interpreting data and keeping of accurate records
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant markets and market developments

  • Experience relevant for this job:
  • Experience in working in FMCG
  • Have a proven record of working autonomously as well as part of a Team.
