Full Job Description

We're looking for a Supply Planning Analyst to join us for approximately 12 months. As a Supply Chain Analyst you'll play a central role in ensuring customers have the right product, at the right time. You'll look after all aspects of planning, ordering and on -time delivery of products, such as cards and gift wrap, into the supply chain. Through your analysis and reporting you'll help minimise excess stock, optimise the cost of product we purchase and balance production requirements, working with vendors to factor in capacity and capability.

You main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the purchase order process including inventory analysis, cost optimisation, purchase ordering, expediting and progress chasing

  • Maintaining a high level of data integrity and accurate records of product supply throughout.

  • Building relationships and developing an understanding with both your customers and suppliers to continually improve the supply and delivery performance

  • Recognise and respond to challenges and opportunities that present themselves within their product stream, and tenaciously and effectively deal with any issues to maintain and provide stock as required for their customers.

    Joining the epicentre of Hallmark, it's your keen eye for detail and understanding of processes that will make you a success in this role. We are also looking for you to demonstrate:

  • Experience of working within a planning, purchasing or inventory function in fast moving Supply Chain environment

  • You're highly numerate with excellent excel skills and systems aptitude

  • Experience of working experience of systems such as MRP or ERP, would be an advantage

  • Previous experience working in an analytical / numerical role, would be an advantage

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • High level of customer focus and desire to achieve results

  • A great communicator, at your best working working with a wide range of internal and external partners.

  • Great persuasion and negotiation skills, to achieve business results

  • Knowledge of working with UK & Far East vendors, would be a significant advantage
