Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting an exciting opportunity as an Support Driver at Thames Water. This is a full time position working out of our Darenth location.

What you'll be doing as a Support Driver

- Delivering plant, signing & guarding (S&G) and materials from our strategically placed distribution depots to support the field teams that are out on site.
- Delivering key communications to our customers advising them of planned and imminent repair works on the Thames Water's water network in their vicinity.
- Monitoring field works during the transition between water network fix and reinstatement back-fill completion to ensure that our guarding on our water infrastructure is compliant to a safe and high standard.
- Ensuring delivery schedules are maintained and that the Logistics Co-ordinator is advised of any deviation that could impact service on any outbound or site collection/clearance tasks.
- Conduct preloading assessment prior to despatch and loading and use of the correct tie down for the load.

Be able to legally drive in the UK and have your own transport or be able to use the company vehicle provided.
- Have previous commercial van driving experience.
- Have no more than 6 points on your driving licence.
- Be able to demonstrate you have a reliable, punctual and flexible attitude and work ethic.
- Be comfortable with manual handling up to 25Kgs., Disability Confident

£27,000 to £29,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
- 45 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 07.00 am-17.00 pm.
- On-call rota (1 in 4/6 weeks): Monday-Sunday: On-call enhancement, call-out charge and overtime paid.
- Company Tipper vehicle provided - Can be taken home or left in the depot.
- Based in Darenth.
