Full Job Description

The post holder will have day to day management of the 18 Week Team in order to deliver a timely and efficient service to support the Clinical Directorates and administrative teams and ensure quality standards are met.
Excellent understanding and application of the Trusts Elective Access Policy and the NHS Waiting Times Guidance is required.
To ensure that the trusts PTLs are monitored on a regular basis and issues are escalated to the Operations Manager and relevant Clinical Directorate.
There is a requirement to act independently, using their own initiative and needs to have excellent problem solving, inter-personal and organisational skills. To have the ability to manage team and service demand against tight deadlines and there is a requirement to travel to other sites.

- Manages the day to day operational issues of the 18 Week Team
Capacity and Capability
- Managing the team to meet changing demands, prioritising clinical need and service targets
Financial Management
- Monitor expenditure against agreed departmental budgets to support effective financial management.

- Identifies and takes action when own or others' behaviour undermines equality and diversity
Quality
- Assesses work area and work practices for risk assessment and takes the appropriate action when there are persistent quality problems
Service Improvement
- Identifies and evaluates areas for potential service improvement and discusses with relevant personnel which may be from other areas of the Trust and impact on their working practice
Health and Safety
- Monitors work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and free from hazard, conforming to policies and legislation, ensuring the team are compliant with H&S training
Personal and People Development
- Develop oneself and others in areas of practice consistent with legislation and policies
Communication
- To deal with queries relating to patient pathways and waiting times targets utilising developed communication skills and applying knowledge of National guidance and Trust procedures in order to deal effectively with sensitive and complex issues
