Full Job Description

The Specialty Medicine Directorate are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and suitably experienced part time Support Medical Secretary to support the Chest Pain Service., The main purpose of this role will be to provide secretarial support and administration duties such as audio typing, mail and filing , tracking patient records, managing patient pathways by following RTT guidelines, as well as liaising with patients, relatives/carers and external partners on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will be required to work on their own initiative and demonstrate excellent audio typing skills , communication & organisational skills., A good understanding of the principles of Referral to Treatment Time is required and an empathetic approach to customer care, therefore an excellent telephone manner will need to be demonstrated. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
