At Grove Lodge and Courtyard, we're on the lookout for an experienced and passionate Senior Support Practitioner to join our team and help make a real difference to the lives of our residents. If you've got experience in care and have previously supported or supervised a team, this could be the perfect role for you. About Grove Lodge and Courtyard Our home provides specialist residential care for adults with a primary mental health diagnosis. With capacity for up to 57 residents across two floors, our service offers:
- Comfortable lounges and modern bedrooms.
- Main and skills kitchens to promote independence.
- A focus on empowering residents to develop daily living skills, supporting people towards more independent futures. What does the role involve? As a Senior Support Practitioner, you'll balance providing hands-on care with supporting and supervising your team. Your primary focus will be ensuring that every resident receives exceptional, person-centred support while helping your colleagues thrive in their roles. Here's a snapshot of your key responsibilities: + Mentoring and Coaching: Supporting your team with training and guidance to ensure they excel in their roles. + Delivering Quality Care: Assisting residents with personal care needs, always upholding dignity, respect, and privacy. + Care Planning: Ensuring residents' care plans are comprehensive, up-to-date, and consistently followed. + Medication Management: Dispensing medication accurately and maintaining detailed records. This role requires a mix of practical care and supervisory responsibilities, so you'll need to feel confident managing multiple tasks while keeping residents' wellbeing at the forefront. We're looking for someone who: + Has experience working in a care home or similar environment. + Has experience supervising and mentoring a team (preferred). + Holds a Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification (or is committed to achieving one). + Is compassionate, organised, and ready to take the next step in their career.
