Full Job Description

Trauma and Orthopaedics are looking to recruit a highly organised support secretary to provide an efficient service to the Consultant(s), resident medical staff and wider team.,

  • Audio typing of clinical correspondence.
  • Provide administration support for the Secretarial/Administrative teams including dealing with telephone queries, filing, post distribution.
  • Collection and delivery of patients notes if required.
  • Liaising with other departments across the hospital.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge and familiarisation of medical terminology.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Knowledge or Word, Excel, Internet and email systems.

    You will need to be enthusiastic, flexible and a motivated team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • You will require a high level of tact, diplomacy with the ability to prioritise your own workload effectively.
