Are you looking for a new role that you can shape and develop? Do you have proven experience of working collaboratively with managers, theoretical knowledge together with relevant experience in positive behaviour support? An exciting opportunity for Positive Behaviour Support Lead (Children & Families) has become available to join our Therapy & Support Services. Hours - 37.5 hours Salary - £45,518 per annum with biennial increments Location - Together Trust Charity, School Hill Cheadle and within services in Stockport, Worsley, Bolton and Greater Manchester Reporting to the principal PBS practitioner you will play a key role in promoting and maintaining a supportive environment for our young people in our children's residential settings, and our community. Your primary focus will be on creating strategies and interventions that encourage positive behaviour, improve social skills, and enhance the overall well-being of our young people with disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, harmful sexualised behaviours and emotional behavioural disorders. The strategic priorities of this role will include developing and implementing positive behaviour support plans and working in collaboration with the registered manager and a multi-disciplinary team to assess the needs of our young people. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Being involved in strategic planning groups where appropriate, consulting on issues relating to PBS.
  • Providing training, guidance and coaching opportunities to enable others to develop their knowledge and skills.
  • Helping to develop strategies that promote a safe, respectful environment and ensure people are treated with dignity.
  • Cultivating a positive, inclusive atmosphere where people feel supported, valued and empowered to grow and succeed.
  • Designing, implementing, evaluating and adapting individual recording systems according to the needs of an individual young person.
  • Managing caseload and waitlist in a manner that ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Keeping up to date with national best practice about provisions for people with learning disabilities, neurodiversity, restrictive practices and challenging behaviour.

    Master's Level qualification in Applied behaviour Analysis, PBS, or other relevant discipline such as psychology.
  • Significant experience delivering PBS within a relevant setting.
  • Sound knowledge of working within Ofsted's social care common inspection framework.
  • Experience with supporting young people with challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to demonstrate working with children or young people with complex needs including learning disabilities and Autism spectrum conditions.
  • Experience in delivery of PROACT-SCIPr.
  • Driver with own transport is essential.
  • A full valid UK Driving licence and access to a vehicle.
