Do you want to support individuals with profound learning disabilities and help them engage with the world around them? If so, we'd love to hear from you! Who Will You Be Supporting? You'll be working with three mature adults in their 40s-50s who live with profound learning disabilities and multiple needs. This service supports two gentlemen and one lady, and though they don't use words to communicate, their personalities shine through. Here's what they love:

  • Hobbies & Interests: Day trips, local pub visits, watching football and cricket, and spending time with friends and family.
  • Staying Active: They enjoy walking, shopping, and staying engaged with their local community.
  • Healthy Living: They appreciate nutritious meals, and they need your help maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
  • Family involvement is essential, and you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and fostering these connections. What Will You Be Doing? As a Support Worker, your role will be diverse and rewarding. You'll provide:
  • Personal Care: Support all three individuals with all aspects of personal care, ensuring dignity and respect.
  • Empowering Independence: Help them with their daily routines, including medication administration, feeding, and mobility support.
  • Advocacy: Be their voice and advocate for their needs and preferences, helping them make choices about their lives.
  • Activity Engagement: Assist with planning and participating in their hobbies and interests, whether it's a walk, a trip to the shops, or a meal out.
  • Healthy Living: Prepare nutritional meals and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
  • Communication: Build strong relationships, understanding their unique ways of expressing themselves through gestures, sounds, and expressions.
  • What, Shift Patterns Are Available?

  • Day Shifts: 7am - 4pm or 4pm - 10pm, Sleep-in Shifts: 10pm - 7am (Paid to Sleep)
  • Waking Night Shifts: 10pm - 7am
