Full Job Description

The Shropshire School Nursing Service covers from Oswestry to Ludlow and Bridgnorth to Market Drayton and Whitchurch. Although we cover a large rural area, we are a close, friendly, respectful and supportive team. We are looking for motivated, innovative applicants to join our expanding team., The post involves travelling around the county and would best suit a car driver with access to a vehicle that can be used for work.

Our Support Workers work closely with healthy child practitioners, staff nurses and specialist public health nurses to provide health education and promotion to children, young people and their families. The role requires you to communicate well with different ages groups and provide consistent public Health information and signposting to our clients. We also work closely with vulnerable families and individuals as well as with a wide multi-agency team of professionals.

We welcome applications from people with extensive experience working with children, young people and their families, you must hold a relevant Level 3 qualification.

Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust provides community-based health services for adults and children in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, and some services in surrounding areas too. These range from district nursing, health visiting and running four community hospitals through to providing very specialist community care through talented and dedicated staff.
