Full Job Description

Client is currently undergoing neuropsychological treatment. Their doctor recommends input from a Support Worker or Therapy Assistant to help the client maintain a routine, providing prompts and reassurance as required, provide social contact and support with engagement with activities that protect her mood. The role is also to reinforce approaches and strategies introduced in therapy session, to build consistency. Example activities could include going for walks in the local community, going to the gym, cooking and working on strategies and/or coping mechanisms to enable her to manager her mental health better and become more independent. Successful Candidates will:

  • Have access to full Training - including Brain Injury Awareness Training

    We are looking for psychology graduates,support Workers and Healthcare Assistants or suitable candidates who would be willing to support people both within their home environment and also willing to provide support in helping service users access the community. We are looking for candidates that are confident with working independently and providing empirical feedback where necessary.

  • YOU HAVE UK WORK EXPERIENCE IN A SIMILAR ROLE
  • YOUR CV CLEARLY SHOWS YOUR RELEVENT EXPERIENCE WHICH RELATES TO THE POSITION YOU ARE APPLYING FOR.
  • EXPERIENCE IN BRAIN INJURY SUPPORT
  • A FULL CLEAN UK DRIVERS LICENCE AND ACCESS TO A CAR YOU CAN USE FOR WORK, A genuine desire to make a positive difference to the lives of others with the ability to promote well-being through positive attitude and work practices
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and be a well-integrated team member.

  • Have Experience in the field of Psychology
  • Willing to become self-employed
