Full Job Description
United Response are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join one of our busy supported living services based in Leiston. You will have the opportunity to support adults with a variety of physical and mental health conditions as well as learning difficulties but all of whom enjoy being as active as possible. We are looking for local staff in the area, due to the location of the service. Please note we do not offer sponsorship. As a Support Worker you will be responsible for:
- Helping with daily chores such as cleaning and cooking
- Administering medication
- Accompanying individuals to appointments
- Taking individuals out for leisure activities
- Personal care
- Promoting independence where possible
- Some outreach work Along with being passionate about supporting people with disabilities and share our values of being united, responsive, creative, honest and strong. You should be a patient and resilient individual who is willing to invest time in getting to know the people we support and understand what care best supports their needs. Previous experience is not necessary as full training will be provided.
- £11.75 per hour
- 20 days paid annual leave (plus 8 bank holidays, pro rata for part time), which increases after 3 and 5 years' service
