Full Job Description

Support Worker - Marshfield, Cardiff - Hourly Rate £11.60 to £12.50 - Full Time 40.25 hours per week

The Old Vicarage provides a warm and welcoming home for up to 10 adults aged 18 and above.

Nestled in the tranquil rural setting of Marshfield near Newport, our residence offers a spacious and comfortable environment. Each room features an ensuite bathroom, and our residents have access to large communal areas, laundry facilities, and well-equipped kitchens. Outside, our beautifully maintained gardens provide plenty of outdoor space for relaxation and enjoyment
A day in the life of working at The Old Vicarage includes:

- Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment
- Support our individuals during recreational activities, outings and community integration
- Promote independence, self-esteem, and confidence in our individuals, celebrating their achievements and milestones
- Working together to ensure support is tailored to meet individual needs
- Keeping accurate records of all activities, progress, and incidents should they arise
- General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation

A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
- Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs
- A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team
- Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
- Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts
- A driving licence isn't essential, but would be advantageous
